Wrap Up Meeting for the APT Project in Japan

Last Nov 7-9, 2017, I participated in a Wrap-up Meeting for the research collaboration project we had on Disaster Response Model Using Vehicle Communication hosted by The Telecommunication Technology Committee in Tokyo, Japan.

We successfully organized a workshop “International Collaborative Research of Disaster Response Model using Vehicle Communication” with the researchers who are strongly interested in this study item and who submitted the Use Case ideas to discuss and write a draft recommendation entitled “Standard Specification of Information and Communication System using Vehicle during Disaster” from July 11 to 15, 2017, in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. The workshop is coordinated as an event of the APT project funded by the Extra Budgetary Contribution from Japan. The draft mentioned above was fortunately adopted by ASTAP-29 last August 2017.

I was invited as one of the members who are responsible to make the final report of the project as a deliverable to the APT. The project fund bore the expense of my round-trip air tickets, meals and transportation expense in Tokyo.
